Helpful packing & storing tips: 

* place pallets or 2x4's on the floor * place frequently used items near the front & valuable items in the rear of the storage unit * use the height of the unit to maximize the space * cover furniture with fabric or plastic drop cloths * wax wood furniture before storing it * store couches on end to save space * completely fill all boxes * seal all boxes with professional packing tape * do not stack heavy objects where they could shift or collapse * use dresser drawers as packing space * do not assume your homeowner or renter insurance covers your belongings while in storage - you may need to purchase insurance * wrap & protect mattresses and box springs & elevate them off the floor * use a strong lock on your unit door * don't forget to take deep cleansing breaths while packing and moving!
